Question : Hi
I habe had results from a CT scan on my ovaries following 2 ultrasounds (that were normal). They have said I have two lesions, one on each ovary which could be solid. I need to have another US in 6 weeks. Should I go and see a gynecologist before then?

Brief Answer:
Possible ovarian tumour
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
If there are solid lesions in each ovary, then the prime concern remains to rule out any ovarian cancer, which may present as solid cysts with solid components and septations inside. considering the age there is a possibility that there would be solid components and they may have a cancerous nature, so important would be to get ovarian tumour markers done like ca125, cea, afp, beta hcg and ca19.9 which are specific for ovarian cancer.
Please visit your gynecologist for the same. A gyn-oncologist would be able to guide you better.
Regards
