Brief Answer:
It is not life threatening!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this finding. This is a well recognised complication of pancreatitis. It actually refers to a collection of fluid in the pancreas. Unless it causes symptoms of pain, there is no reason to panic and even go draining it. I will advise that you stay calm and follow up with the MRI as planned. There is no reason to panic and be worried about this. It is not life threatening.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

If my pancreatitis was 8 years ago is this finding still be a pseudocyst or some other kind of cyst or cancer tumor. If it was a cancer tumor would it be high dencity area? I am sorry to trouble you but I am worried.

Brief Answer:
It is still a pseudocyst until proven otherwise!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this follow up.

I know you would often think of the worse but this is not typical of cancer of the pancreas. Cancer of the pancreas presents with severe pain and weight loss. You are not there and I will like that you remain on pseudocyst unless proven otherwise which would be very unlikely.

I wish you well.

My doctor now said the ct scan said it's a possible cyst. What does that mean? Sorry to trouble you again but your opinion matters to me. Thank you so much dr Ditah.

My doctor s nurse told me today that the ct finding is possible cyst on my pancreas and not to worry. What does possible cyst mean. It is 6×12mm and should I be worried?
