Suggestive of mildly reduced blood flow to brain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

I have noted the CT brain scan reports of your dad. The findings are suggestive of mildly reduced blood flow to the brain. The common risk factors for this, such as diabetes, high BP and cholesterol should be screened for and treated, if present.

It is not a serious problem and there is no need to worry.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

The two are not related

I have noted the additional information.

The need of a stent and CT brain findings are not related.

Answered by Dr. Sudhir Kumar (13 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
It is not unusual

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

It is not unusual to find these in a 63 year old. I commonly see these CT brain findings in that age group, and it is not a matter of concern. As mentioned earlier, the risk factors need to be screened for and treated, if present.

Best wishes,
