Brief Answer:
Yes. It is nothing to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for contacting Healthcaremagic.

I understand your anxiety.

Cysts in Kidney are very common occuring in about 1 in 3 patients when scanned for other conditions. Most of them are simple cyst in which the wall of the fluid containing cyst is thin with no calcium deposits and fluid is clear(on ultrasound) as well as no solid elements in the wall of the cyst(on CT with contrast). These cysts are harmless and there is nothing to worry about.

The indication for intervention in such a cyst are recurrent bleeding within cyst causing repeated attacks of pain or if cyst is very large (there is no recommended cut off size).

If the cyst has been reported as simple on ultrasound and CT scan then it does not need intervention and please put your mind to rest and forget about it. It does not need any repeat scans.

Please post a copy of CT report so that I can have a look at the wordings. You have an option to upload image of the CT report.

Hope that answers your query.
