What Does This CT Scan Report Indicate?

Question: CT scan of lungs shows fibrotic changes/honeycombing which is
more prominent in the left base. What does this mean?
more prominent in the left base. What does this mean?
Brief Answer:
If same changes are also present in right base then ILD is a possibility.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Fibrosis and honeycombing are suggestive of dead lung tissue.
If it is only in one particular part of lung then possibility of bronchiectesis is more.
But if same changes are seen in both lung base (more prominent in left base) then possibility of interstitial lung disease (ILD) is more.. So can you please send me picture of your CT report so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
