Question: I recently had a CT scan done and on the report, it said "there is an impression on the bladder by the prostate..." Can you tell me what that might mean and what my next step should be?

Brief Answer:
Suggesting enlarged prostate and pressing urinary bladder

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank You for contacting HealthcareMagic. My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. Impression on urinary bladder means that prostate is enlarged and pressing bladder. It can result in either increased urination or difficulty in urination. In few cases, it causes no symptom. Do you have any complaint of these symptoms? IF yes then i would suggest you to once visit hospital and get ultrasound KUB done (specific comment on prostate). It will tell the size and if enlarged, a urologist will prescribe medication accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
