Brief Answer:
identify offending cause-go for T-score on dexa scan, evaluate chemo drugs,

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dexa scan is generally ordered for studying bone density, susceptibilty scores for fractures called T-score.
osteochondropathy is a general term for bone and joint cartilage abnormal pathological changes and may have varying significance- from some degenerative changes softening cystic changes to sclerosis or hardening with dense bone tissue leading to altered texture, weakening of stress bearing capacity of bone and joint cartilage and thus proneness to fractures.

Since you are on chemo for breast cancer, it may be possible to have secondary effect on joints and bone by medicines, but it is also that you are 60 plus age with menopause and secondary changes are due to estrogen deficiency of long.

Some breast cancers are also cause of severe estrogen deficiency while some of them are androgenic(male hormone dependent) so depending on type of your cancer, your oncologist may co-relate your dexa scan findings also keeping your other factors in mind like menopause, osteopenic (osteoporotic changes)and side effects of chemo.

I would definitely try to identify one or coupling causes to treat accordingly-especially depend on T -score and try give preventive and remedial measures to offset any chance for fractures

Regards
