Question: HI - My mother age 71, ECG report shows the following -
Rate 96,
PR 142,
QRSD 79,
QT 329,
QTc 416,
-- Axis--
P 53,
QRS 61,
T 47.
Report summary states -
Sinus rhythm -- normal P axis, V-rate 50-99
repol abrm suggests ischemia, anterolateral... ST dep, T neg, I aVL V2-V6.
Can any one please suggest what I should do? Thank you so much.

I have gone through the report (although a direct look on the ECG would have given a better impression). Ischemia means that the blood supply to the heart is getting compromised. Certain medicines like bisoprolol (cardioselective beta blocker) may help in providing relief. Visit a cardiologist and let him prescribe suitable medines. If it still does not help and if she has chest pains, angiography and angioplasty might be needed.
