Take medicine / Follow up must

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic
The changes are mild and the consequence of the recent attack
The overall heart function is good
Aggressive management of the risk factors – investigating and controlling Blood Pressure, sugar Cholesterol / Stopping Smoking and alcohol / regular exercise and diet – has to be followed

hi sir,
follow up queries
(1)with the echo report of my father and ur experience can u comment on the possibility of bockages?
(2) angiogram:- is it an immediate requirement? i have read tht angiogram increases the risk of another attack too.
(3) herbal treatment with garlic ,ginger, apple vinegar, honey.. can it cause any harm?
(4)my father has sore gums, his bp is below the standard limits(110/75 most of the times) and pulse remains between 65-70. i have read beta blockers can also cause it. what can be done?
thanking u in anticipation

Brief Answer:
Drug OK / Investigate more
Detailed Answer:
Hi
1) This ECHO only shows the effect of the attack sustained / ECHO has limitations here; Stress
echo can be useful / Better non-invasive way to predict the block is Treadmill Exercise ECG, preferably with Thallium isotope
2) Angiogram is ideal / one block has caused this problem; most likely there could be other
blocks and the gold standard to identify is the angio
3) These herbal treatments mentioned are harmless / useless too; they have not been
scientifically documented in well controlled studies
4) His BP and pulse are in NORMAL range / Beta blockers can do this / Nothing to do – except
to continue / He MUST continue the Beta blockers for a minimum of 1 year; may be more
A Dentist should see his gums for proper assessment & assistance
Regards
