Question : Hi there
I did a very intense work out the day before yesterday and was very sore yesterday . I happened to have a dr appointment yesterday also where I had labs done.( I also started my cycle yesterday ). When I got my labs back last night, my ASL was at 104 ( ALT 52)
I am reading in various sights that my vigorous exercise can cause my levels to be higher than normal

Please advise
Thank you

Brief Answer:
May be exercse related, controle recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear, I've gone through your query,

Yes, since ast/ alt are not only lver enzymes, they also exist in muscles, they may also be higher than normal through exercise. Please get a control lab test with more time, distant to heavy exercise to distinguish. If it's still higher than normal, then it's more likely liver related, and further diagnostics such as ultrasound liver advisable. If lower or normal again, more likely muscle related, then it should not be concerning .

Best Regards
