What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 5 Jan 2016
Question: Is it possible to share the finding with XXXX? The radiologist did not note anything which is odd to me, because Dr XXXXXXX and also another service that I consult did note a large subcutaneous cyst. I am attaching the findings. Additionally, as noted previously, I also had a soft tissue ultrasound where a cyst was noted. What concerns me is the soft tissue U/S said it was 4mm which is not large, as noted by you and the other consulting online doc.

I am concerned that this radiologist is missing it and since he is the radiologist on other MR, CT and U/S, I am nervous.

Brief Answer:
I don't think it is only 4 mm.

Detailed Answer:
Hello , Welcome to HCM

I am aware of your previous query.

Uploaded MRI report also didn't mention about size. Best way to determine size is by calipers attached with software in ultrasound or MRI machines. Size of lesion was not done by calipers neither in images nor in report(ideally it should be done by calipers).

Grossly it appeared as large size lesion to me(may be due to zoom image), but you shouldn't worry as it is definitely a benign finding.

Still I don't agree that it is only 4 mm.

Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query.
Further queries are most welcome.
