Question : Patient is suffering from Post-traumatic Prolapse Intervertebral Disc L4-L5 and complaining of back pain, MRI suggest osteophytes, disc buldge. Kindly suggest whether the changes of osteophytes and disc buldge are occurred due to the acute trauma?

I have noted the medical details and MRI findings. Disc bulges can occur due to fall and trauma. However, osteophytes are not due to trauma. Osteophytes are caused due to wear and tear due to routine daily activities.
