Brief Answer:
will need to understand the anatomy

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Good to hear from you again,

As per the MRI report, I quote- "encasing the prechiasmal".

In order to understand this, you will need to understand the anatomy of the visual tract. you can also go through:
emedicine.medscape.com/article/0000-overview

Our eye is shaped like a globe, where the front part is what we see- with a cornea, lens- and on the back side of the eyeball, there is an exit area called the optic disc. Through this, the optic nerves travel carrying the information to the brain. The optic nerves from both eyes travel posteriorly and cross each other at a junction called as optic chiasma.

At this point, I would strongly suggest you to not read much into this rather, you will need to meet with a neurosurgeon who is an expertise in this field and will be able to detail you on all your queries.

Hope this helps
