Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife have done pap smear in routine body check up in which inflammatory smear is detected. Please suggest treatment/medication for the same.

Hello Mam, thanks for trusting us with your health concerns
I have seen the attached reports and thankfully there is just an inflammation and no cancerous cells.
For inflammation you need to take antibiotics and it will resolve.
Also always use toilet paper after pee and wear a cotton based undergarments as far as possible.

We generally give clotrimazole pessary and doxycycline tablets fir 7 days regularly.
But both these are prescription drugs so visit your gynaecologist for prescription
