Question : My son just had an xray on his back. It is showing that he has Disc space reduction L5/S1 and Scoliosis.

He is only 23 years old. We believe this has come about from an injury when he was younger. A chiropractor has viewed the xray. What would you recommend doing?

Brief Answer:
Regular exercise can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached report. He has just a mild scoliosis and a small reduction on the disc space. This can be related to the posture or muscle spasm. It is best to start with regular back strengthening exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist to retard the further progression of the problem.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
