What Does This Angiogram Report Indicate?
Question: My father of age 65 years whose health condition was fine suddenly reporting that he has pain in left hand and left chest.
But, in that condition, he was able to cycling or other daily work (he was a worker in an office) and his ECG was normal. After one day, we went to a doctor for a checkup. At first doctor said it may be sign of spondylosis. But he prescribed for ECG and some Xrays. The new ECG was very bad (according to doctor) and surprisingly doctor said that my father already had a mild heart attack. Immediately, he prescribed for Angiogram and we did it.
I am sending the angiogram report which revealed that his most of the artery are blocked and it can be recovered only by bypass surgery.
At the present situation, he is okay. He has been admitted for 4days in the hospital.
He is taking the following medicines
Tab Pan 40
Tab Ecosprin (150) 1 tab after lunch
Tab Plavix (75) 1 tab after lunch
Tab Modilip (80) 1 tab at bedtime
Tab Eptus (25) 1 tab at 2PM
Tab Valzaar (40) ½ tab twice daily at 10 am and 10 pm
Tab Ativan (1) 1 tab once daily at bedtime
Syp Duphalac 30ml at bed time
Tab Nicoduce (5) 1 tab twice daily at 9 am and 9Pm
Tab Nitrocontin (2.6)
Now, he is at home and we are preparing for a bypass surgery. Right now, his bp is 100/60. I am confuse to use medicine Nitrocontin.
We are confused that what to do because many people advising different comments.
Is the angioplasty not sufficient for him to recover?
