You can also consider doing the other aspects of the liver profile including: AST/SGOt, ALT/ SGPT, alkaline phosphatase, GGT, total protein and albumin.
All of these can provide some information on the liver.
If you use only a small amount of alcohol daily (1 to 2 drinks), then it is possible that it may not have a significant impact on the liver, if you use a lot more than this then there is a risk of liver damage.
This would be reflected mainly in the GGt and alkaline phosphatase, though the other values may be increased as well.
