What Does This Biopsy Report Indicate?

Question: for my mother we took biospy, can you explain what the report says.

Sorry for late reply. I was busy with my other professional obligations.

Intestinal metaplasia means that normal intestinal cells have been replaced by stomach cells. From this report it seems like auto-immune condition. As it has affected both stomach and intestine. H pylori has been ruled out. H pylori is a bacteria that causes acidity of stomach. Cancer is also not present in this sample. Currently its not worrisome.

Lifestyle measures like hygienic food and cleaner drinking water from RO system can be helpful in avoiding any stomach infection. Take more fruits but less sugar and juices.
