                                            Question : Hi,
Two years ago I had my left tonsil removed for a biopsy the result being I was diagnosed with high grade B cell Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Last week I had my right tonsil removed for a biopsy. The initial finding is that it is a "reactive change".
What does this mean?
Thank you

Reactive change means benign and reversible enlargement of lymphoid tissue
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
"Reactive change " means benign and reversible enlargement of lymphoid tissue (Tonsil) secondary to antigen stimulus like infection , allergy , etc . It is non serious type & no need to concern.
If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
consult your Heamatologist & ENT .
Till then use Antiseptic Mouth Wash twice daily .
Follow up regularly as advised .
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
