Question: Hi I have been having terrible joint n pain on. Boths sides. Blood tests came back with high sed rate and immature granulocytes. Ana is neg and rf is 15. What could this mean?

I read your question and i understand your concern. High sedimentation rate is a very common and insignificant marker of inflammation and can rise in so many conditions. negative ANA rules out autoimmune causes like lupus as the cause of joint pain.

Psoriatic arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis however needs to be evaluated as both tests mentioned above are not for these. AntiCCP antibody, RA factor for rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis can not even be considered if you dont have psoriasis.

Nutshell, it needs a complete rheumatological correlation of your joint pains and management accordingly.
