Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms. XXXX,

Yes, I see that your SGOT, ALT, Triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol are all elevated.

SGOT and ALT are liver enzymes that get elevated anytime the liver is irritated or inflamed. Your enzymes are just a little elevated. While you don't need to worry, you should take some action to try to get them down.

Liver enzymes will go up if a person is overweight and the liver is storing fat. They can also go up from some medications that are processed by the liver (such as Tylenol). And they definitely go up from alcohol consumption.

Since your triglycerides are up, this usually goes with taking in too much carbohydrate as an excess of carbs is converted to triglycerides.

Consider:
Reduce alcohol intake if this applies: If you have more than one drink in a night, decrease to one drink. If you have one drink per day, eliminate alcohol entirely right now.

Increase vegetables, and decrease refined (simple) carbohydrates such as things made with white flour, or white potatoes. Decreasing carbohydrates in general might be a good thing right now.

Increased exercise will help too.

Have a repeat liver panel and lipid panel drawn in 2-3 months. Usually 6 weeks is enough time to see some results, so if you need the help of staying on track with lifestyle changes, it might help to have them checked in 6 weeks. If the lab results remain the same or are higher, then a liver ultrasound is the next step.

So - no need to worry, but yes, try to make lifestyle changes.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
