Question : HELLO SIR MY NAME IS XXXX AND I AM 34 YEARS OF AGE ... AND TODAY I GOT MY CBC DONE FOR KNOWING ABOUT MY HB AND PLATLETS AND RBC.. ALL REPORT I GOT IT BUT TWO THINGS I AM NOT GETTING..

FIRST IS---- LOW RDW

AND

SECOND IS ----IN ABSOLUTE LEUCOCYTE COUNT BASOPHILIS IS 0.00 BUT NORMAL RANGE IS 0.01-0.10

1. I HAVE LOW RDW (10.60) WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS ????? COZ MY HB IS VERY GOOD AND MCV N RBC IS ALSO OK.. IS THERE ANY THING FOR WORRYING ?

2. WHAT IS THE TREATMENT OF THIS LOW RDW N BASOPHILIS ?

3. SHOULD I TAKE IRON SYRUP OR TABLETS FOR THIS LOW RDW ?

4. IS THIS COZ OF ANEMIA OR ANY ALLERGIE ? PLZ HELP ME OUT I AM IN WORRYING ...

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

RDW is red cell distribution width. It indicate variation in RBCs size. So if variation increase RDW increase. Low RDW is considered as normal.

Basophil is à type of WBC. Its normal value is 0 to 1. And normally it is absent.

So you are normal. No treatment is required for Low RDW and basophil.

It is not due to anemia, allergy or any other cause. It is normal variation.

So nothing to worry. Just be relaxed.

THANKS SIR FOR YOUR ANSWER....

AND I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ONE MORE THING COZ I FORGET TO TELL YOU YESTERDAY... I HAVE BEEN FACING RIGHT TWITCHING EYE PROBLEM FOR 10 DAYS IT HAPPENS ANY TIME IN A DAY.. SOMETIMES FOR 2 MINUTES OR MORE THAN TWO MINUTES... BEFORE THAT IT ALSO HAPPENED BUT NOT FOR SO MANY DAYS IT WAS FOR 1 OR 2 DAYS... SO PLEASE TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET RID OF THIS PROB ??????? I USED ONE EYE DROP OFRON BUT IT DID NOT WORK..

AND PLZ ALSO TELL ME WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IRON AND FOLIC ACID AND IF I WANT TO TAKE THEM SO WHAT SHOULD I TAKE IRON OR FOLIC ACID ? WAITING FOR REPLY THANKS....

Eye twitching is mostly non serious.

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have eye twitching.

Most common cause are stress, fatigue, inadequate sleep, caffeine, dryness etc.

Most of the time no medical treatment is required. Just take proper sleep and rest. It will be OK within few days or may take few weeks.

If you have troublesome eye twitching or facial spasm or other eye problem then consult your opthalmologist for examination.

Iron and folic acid both are different. They are nutrients and they are important in Hemoglobin formation. You don't require any extra nutrients. Just take healthy food.
