Brief Answer:
Vitamin B12 deficiency most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have macrocytic and macroovalocytic rbcs. It means your rbcs are larger in size.

Most common cause of macrocytic rbcs are vitamin B12 deficiency.

Other causes are folic acid deficiency, liver problems, hypothyroidism, alcoholism etc.

You should check your vitamin B12 level first. If it comes low then you should take vitamin B12 supplement.

If your vitamin B12 level is normal then you should investigate further.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.

Thanks sir for your prompt response. Just a few query. T3, T4, and TSH values are normal. Liver function test result is also normal except serum globulin is 3.4 g/dL.
Blood sugar and HbA1c is in normal range
HDL cholesterol direct is 30 mg/dL, LDL/HDL ratio 4.3
Are these values of serious concern? Are these also related to my previous question.
Do I further need to consult any doctor in person?

Brief Answer:
Liver and thyroid functions are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your thyroid function test and liver function test are normal. So we can rule out hypothyroidism and liver problems as a cause of macrocytic rbcs.

It suggest high chance of vitamin B12 deficiency.

So go Fir vitamin B12 level and take supplements for vitamin B12.

Your HDL is slightly low. But not a cause of serious concern.

Take low fat diet with high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Go for regular exercise. Repeat lipid profile after 3 months.

Hope I have answered your question.
