Question : Two weeks ago I had a routine physical. Results.....elevated bilirubin 148, ........A1C 6.1.
Last week tested negative for all Hepatitus.....A1C now 5.5.

What is next step to determine why liver not breaking down red blood cells....elevated bilirubin ?

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. I do not think that the mentioned bilirubin level is correct and the unit is also needed. Could you please upload the entire report? It will help me analyze the situation properly. Also mention why you needed to get the test done. I mean to ask you the complaints and how long they have been occurring. Based on your inputs I would guide you further.

The HbA1c level indicates how well your blood sugar level is controlled. 5.5 indicates a good control. Continue the medications that you are currently on.
