Question : Had 3 cbc's done I told the past two months because they'd thought my spleen was mildly enlarged (13 cm) but all my blood test including lft's were normal. All my cbc's were normal. The only high value I had was my MXD# and mxd% were both high. Alll my other blood counts were normal all 3 tests. should this be a concern?

Brief Answer:
Not of much concern

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

MxD denotes mixed cells, ie monocytes, basophils and eosinophils. Usually reports give their counts separately but sometimes, as in this report, they are combined together.

In your case, the value is slightly higher but nothing alarming. If we can know the individual counts, it may help. For example, if eosinophils are high, it may denote some allergy.

Overall, I feel that there is nothing much to worry.

Hope this helps.
Regards
