Today I had blood test for Vitamin D(total) and here is the report.
TEST NAME || TECHNOLOGY || VALUE || UNITS

Brief Answer:
Vitomin-D3

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at healthcaremagic.

I have read your query and seen the reports.
I would suggest that you take granules Vitomin-D3 or keycal-D weekly for 1 month and every two weeks for the next two months. This should bring the vitamin D levels within limits. Later you can continue with a lower dose as in shelcal-500 tablets.

Your backache and shoulder pain needs appropriate evaluation by orthopedic surgeon.

Hope it helps.

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D3 in the granules is 60,000IU

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

The thyroid profile is normal including total t4 levels. T4 is measured as total and free. Your report shows the total t4 levels.

The dose of d3 granules that is available is mostly 60,000IU. The name I have specified already in previous answer i.e vitomin-D3 granules.

Brief Answer:
Your B12 levels are normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Your B12 levels are normal in this report. But the answer to your question lies in your diet pattern. If you take non-vegetarian (chicken, kabab, etc) daily then you dont need the supplements. But if you take mostly vegetarian diet then B12 supplements can be taken orally.

Brief Answer:
You need prophylactic dose

Detailed Answer:
You are at risk of again developing deficiency of vitamin B12 because of your vegetarian diet.

I would suggest that you take a dose of 250 mcg (microgram) every 3-4 days. It is available in many brands like tablet neucobal, diacobal, biocobal, and others. You can break the 500 mcg tablet in half and take.

You will need to take it lifelong because of your diet pattern.
