Question: I am 39 years old Male. From last 1 week, I feel I am feeling bit pain on my knee cap sometimes. I observe it when I carry my 2-year-old daughter upstairs.
I am not very sure it is pain or some kind of pressure on my knee cap. Once I had pain on hip joints. In the recent past, I didn't have an accident or hit on those areas.
I have attached BoneProfile Report for your review.
Currently, I am taking Livipil 500 and Zeptol CR300

Brief Answer:
Early arthritis or Chondromalacia

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

I am still unable to view your attachment. It does not show up anything. Please ask to the Healthcare Magic team to help display it properly.

Please email me the report.

Since you have pain over the knee cap, it could be early sign of arthritis or cartilage disorder of the knee cap.

I would suggest you get an AP, Lateral and Skyline view of the knee and upload it for my review. This would help to narrow down the diagnosis to what's causing you the problem.

Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, climbing stairs, kneeling or high impact running.

You can apply warm packs to the affected region.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Dr. Aashish Raghu

Brief Answer:
Severe deficiency of Vitamin D. Osteoporosis needs to be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

I have reviewed the blood report. You have severe Vitamin D deficiency.

This can be a cause of bone pain.

I suggest you get a DEXA Scan to look for early Osteoporosis which may explain your pain.

I hope I have answered your query.

It's not severe pain. I feel it only when I am climbing stairs or walking more than 500 m. Taking medicines for Vitamin D if the pain reduces, is there still chances of early osteoporosis. Also if you can suggest medicines.

Brief Answer:
Same treatment

Detailed Answer:
Taking Vitamin D will be enough. Getting a DEXA Scan will confirm if you have Osteoporosis. Treatment is basically the same. Get good sunlight exposure. Eat diet rich in Vitamin D like nuts, lean meat, dairy products, eggs etc.
Get your Vitamin D levels checked again after 6 months.
