Brief Answer:
Need few details...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

From what I understand you have occasional pain over the knee joint especially while lifting your daughter as well as climbing stairs.

But I am not sure if the pain is bilateral or unilateral (one knee or both knee). I am also not sure if it is just pain or pain with swelling / redness. Can you provide these two information in the follow up.

Further I would also like to know how long these complaints have been?
Have you been to an orthopedic surgeon? If yes if you had X-rays / MRI scans of the joint?

Please provide these preliminary information in the follow up.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Grade the pain...

Detailed Answer:
Can you be able to grade the pain on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the most severe pain you ever had.
What do you generally do to treat the pain - do you take any prescribed medicines for the pain?

Regards

lifting my daughter and not grand daughter. Sometimes pain is one or both the knee. since last 2 weeks. I have attached my bone profile reports which indicates vitamin D deficiency but calcium is ok

Normally ie when I am not doing anything or watching TV or working on Computer or it's 3, ie I can feel that there is a pain but its not consistent. But if I walk up to certain distance or climb stairs or lift my daughter and walk then it's 6. ie pain where it effects my walking or climbing stairs.

Brief Answer:
Worthwhile to visit an orthopedic and start vitamin supplements..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

From what I understand now, you seem to be suffering from mild to moderate pain at rests which worsens while climbing stairs as well as lifting your daughter. Low vitamin D level can cause such knee pain. However there are other causes too. It could be related to trivial injuries of knee support - ligaments / meniscus. Similarly it could be related to arthritic changes. Therefore in my opinion, you will definitely benefit by visiting an orthopedic surgeon. Careful examination of knees along with X-ray / MRI of knee joint is recommended.

In the meanwhile, you can be started on vitamin D supplements to correct vitamin D deficiency. D rise powder XXXXXXX available in 60000 IU needs to be taken once a week for 8 weeks.

Hope this helps.
