Question : I had an mri scan of the brain recently and this 'showed evidence of small vessel disease and moderately marked cerebral involution' - meaning?

Small vessels disease found on brain MRI is a condition where small brain arteries are damaged mainly due to high blood pressure not controlled correctly.

High blood pressure or diabetes if treated correctly stop this condition progression.

Brain involution or hypotrophy consists on loosing brain mass ( neurons ) due to age in your case.
