Question : Hello there, I have got my chest x-ray done for immigration purposes and results are as below:

1. Evidence of tuberculosis- Present- Minimal density seen in Lt. apex.

2. Lung fields- Abnormal- Minimal density seen in Lt. apex.

Please let me know what does it mean.

I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Your findings may suggests minimal density in left apical region,it may be due to infection etc.
I suggest for apico-lordotic view of chest X-ray.It is a special view for apical region.Apical region is covered by bony ribs and clavicle.
Normal chest X-ray (PA view)may miss the findings so you may need special view.This will help in better evaluation.

Your findings also need clinical correlation.

But i think Immigration doctor is likely to ask for further tests just to find out TB is not active.

So what other tests he/she may ask for?
