Question : I had chest X ray preceding year. In the findings it has been mention small nodular opacity in mid lobe patchy consolidation. Is it a matter to be concerned about.what should be my way forward. I am regular smoker smoking since 17 years. But no symptoms of cough or short of breathing

In my opinion, you should first quit smoking.
This is the most important step.
Since you are also active smoker, we should look for any change in nodule as possibility of malignant nodule is high.
So get done fresh chest x ray and CT thorax to evaluate nodule.
