You can do Triple test at around 18 weeks of pregnancy, it will also confirm the risk of chromosomal anomalies.

What does 140.00 ng/ml means in BHCG? is it high value?

What is the normal range for FREE BHCG MOM AND PAPP - A MOM?

Mine reports showing - Free BHCG - 3.08
AND PAPP - A MOM - 0.61

What does it mean?

Brief Answer:
Both values and MoM are in low risk, risk for Down's is low.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

Levels of both- Free BHCG and PAPP-A are in the normal range for your gestational age- i.e. duration of pregnancy.
Very low PAPP-A and Very high free BHCG are indicative of high risk for chromosomal problems.
In your case the values are normal, so you need not worry.

Secondly,MoM, means Multiples of Median.
In this, the measured concentration of the markers is converted into MoM of unaffected pregnancies at the same gestation.
As your MoM values are also normal, the calculated relative risk of Down's syndrome is low in your case.
Risk cut off for your age and pregnancy duration was 1 in 250, and your calculated value is 1in 700. This indicates low risk for Down's syndrome.

This means for woman of your age risk of Down's syndrome was - out of 250 pregnancies , 249 will not have Down's, but 1 case can have. But your value suggests, out of 700 pregnancies 699 will be normal and risk of Down's for 1 case.

So you are having low risk.
Please do not worry.

Also, 18 weeks anomaly scan and associated Triplre marker test is still in hand.

I hope this answer helps you.

Thanks.

Please tell BHCG 140 ng/ml equals to how many value in mIU/mL
doctor
Answered by Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar (30 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
It is in normal range.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
thanks again.

As such 1 I.U.= 6×10−8 grams.
So 140 ng/ml will be around 84,000 mIU/ml.
This value is quite normal for your gestational period. Normal range is for 9 – 12 weeks of pregnancy= (25,700 – 288,000).

I hope this answer helps you.
