Question: I have been bleeding for 22 days now. I had a transvaginal ultrasound that came back with no tumors, but showed that my endometrial lining is 12mm. Yesterday the doctor that was performing a biopsy seemed concerned about this. I am 49 and have had regular periods until now. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
It is abnormal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

i can understand your concerns.

An endometrial thickening more than 8 mm is abnormal and so certainly you have something going on.

Some of the causes are

Dysfunctional Uterine bleeding
Endometrial Cancer.

i will advise you to get a biopsy done as it will confirm the findings.
