Question: Dear Dr. Klerida Shehu

I had some questions that you helped me with. My problem was concerning XXXXXXX and his gastro problems with the bacteria 'Morganella Morganii.
Later you gave a brieve answer, following up with a request having the full report send to you in order to give a more detailed answer. I send the report, but believed I might have reviewed the answer and then closed the topic.
I'll be happy if you can reopen the subject and proceed. I have send you the report you have been asking for, but will be happy to resend it.

Brief Answer:
Need to start the treatment with antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX XXXX,
Thank your for providing more of your brother medical data. I XXXXXXX seen in last conversation these exams.
I review all his exams and I can say as follows:
1. He has done all fecal tests and has been detected 'Morganella Morganii 3+. It means that he needs to be treated with antibiotics and no natural treatment can cure it.
2. He has done fecal culture test and it shows that this bacter is sensible due to Ciprofloxacine.
This is why I suggest to start the treatment with ciprofloxacine 500 mg twice per day for 1 week, plus probiotics for more than 2 weeks.
3. If you have other concerns I would be glad to assist you further.

Thanks doc for your answer :-)
Will it eventuelly be possible with grapefruit seed exstract (Citridal) followed up with probiotics? The method was maybe to build up a more normal flora, in order to oppress the dysbiotic flora e.g. stabilize the acid balance, while supplying up with a good probiotic.. Will it be possible? The concerns with Ciprofloxacine is C. difficile infection, as the drug is widespread and will take awayeverything nearby.

Thanks doc,
Your help is much appreciated ;-)

Brief Answer:
Please follow...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
You are asking about Citridal plus probiotics as a homemade treatment of Morganella Morganii infection.
Let me explain:
Morganella morganii in fact is a normal microbial gut flora, but in cases when it is too much expressed like in his case more than 3+. In such cases it needs treatment.
I agree with your opinion and logic that changing the gut Ph and probiotics use may reorganize the microbial flora till to a normal flora.
Otherwise it is not enough experience with such herbal treatment against Morganella Morganii infection.
With regards to Ciprofloxacine side effects , yes it is true that may be associated with C.Difficile infection.
Otherwise I said that to use it with probiotics too.
In cases when I suspect that ciprofloxacien has caused C.difficile infection I recommend my patients to use metronidazole for 7 days.
Hope itr was helpful to you.
