Brief Answer:
You need mucolytic and expectorant drugs.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the detailed history you have given.
Possibility of bronchitis is more.
And bronchitis needs inhaled bronchodilators, mucolytic and expectorant drugs.
So instead of plain fluticasone, you should take combination of inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (budesonide or fluticasone).
Also take mucolytic and expectorant drugs like N acetyl cystiene (NAC), ambroxol, bromhexiene etc.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thank you. I was given all of the above yet I am still coughing, raspy voice and continued chest pain. The doctor said I had a cold that went into my chest and he is sending me for a CT scan of the chest w and w/o contrast. He put me on Doxycycline Hyclate twice daily for ten days.
