Question: My father is suffering with throught infection.doctors suggest flp scopy.that scan gives the reussults of,Flp scopy shows right cord palsy.left cord is normal and XXXXXXX pyriform fossae are clear .please give me the clarity of above results?now what is his condition

I understand your concern and sorry to hear about your problem.

Vocal cord is folding of mucous membrane in the larynx.
It modulate the flow of air during phonation.

Your father scan report suggests right vocal cord palsy.

Unilateral vocal cord palsy occur due to recurrent laryngeal nerve injury (RLN).
RLN responsible for regulation of the vocal folds position and tension to enable vocalization.

Vocal cord palsy could be due to viral infection like herpes virus, Epstein-Barr virus, Varicella-Zoster, cytomegalovirus and upper respiratory infection.
It cause hoarseness of voice, breathing difficulty and aspiration problem.
Speech therapy and surgery will helpful.

Left vocal cord and pyriform fossa is completely normal.
