Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
Your lipid profile is within acceptable limits except for the low HDL levels.
We can increase HDL cholesterol by exercise and eating fish. However, medications (including fish oil supplements) are not recommended for use with sole purpose of increasing HDL cholesterol.
Your non-HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, which are more powerful indicators for future events are 127 and 115mg%. These are within acceptable limits for your profile.
Currently, as per Qrisk score 2016, there are chances of 4 events (Heart attack or stroke) in 1000 patients with similar profile as yours in next ten years. This level of risk is considered low and do not warrant preventive medication for lowering cholesterol.
I hope I explained your lipid profile up to your satisfaction. Please feel free to discuss if there is a query.
Sincerely
