Brief answer

Reports clearly show high levels of cholesterol.

Detailed answer...

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and noted your concern.

I have seen the reports which clearly show high levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol ( bad cholesterol ), high levels of triglycerides and low levels of HDL cholesterol ( good cholesterol ) .

What to do....

Best is to go for lifestyle and dietary changes and opt for medicines if these lifestyle change measures don't bring effective result in next 3 months.

Choose healthy fats in your diet and avoid transfats which are found in cookies, pastries etc. Healthy fats are found in olive and canola oil.

Limit your dietary cholesterol by avoiding red meats, egg yolk and whole milk products. Can take egg white which has proteins in it.

Cut down your sugar intake

Eat whole grains like whole wheat flour, oatmeal, oat XXXXXXX whole wheat pasta, brown rice etc.

Eat healthy non veg like salmon and tuna fish

Eat fruits, green vegetables and nuts.

Do regular aerobic exercises for 45-60 minutes a day.

Reduce your weight.

Quit smoking

Consume alcohol in very limited quantities.

Goal is to bring your total cholesterol to below 200,LDL below 100 and triglycerides below 150.

If these goals are not achieved in next 3 months, in spite of your best efforts, then you can opt for medicines ( statins ) to control your cholesterol and triglycerides.

Good cholesterol ( HDL ) will increase with these measures.

I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.

Best of luck

Thanks
