What Does This Lipid Profile Test Result Indicate?

I took up proactive check at XXXXXXX labs and below is the result from LIPID Profile test
TOTAL CHOLESTEROL - 124 mg/dl
TRIGLYCERIDES - Fasting Sample - 48.0 mg/dl
HDL CHOLESTEROL (Homogenous enzymatic colorimetric) - 31 mg/dl
LDL CHOLESTEROL (Homogenous enzymatic colorimetric) - 84.2 mg/dl
VLDL CHOLESTEROL 8.8 mg/dl
total HDL RATIO 4.00
LDL : HDL RATIO 2.72
Can you tell me if something is concerning and if some immediate action has to be taken, especially the HDL, seems to be at HIGH RISK.
Nothing urgent or serious
Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic
Nothing serious
Nothing urgent
Only some life style changes and follow up…
HDL is good cholesterol – higher, the better.
LDL is bad cholesterol – lower, the better. In the absence of any other risk factor 100 is ideal for LDL-C. In the presence of ischemia, 70 should be the aim.
Your results are practically normal
HDL is a lower / LDL is in range…
Keep your weight to normal / even a little less
Quit smoking, if you are a smoker
Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.
Healthy FOOD is a must. Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular – French fries have palm oil / Pizza has cheese / XXXXXXX sweets are made in ghee.../ Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil.
Repeat the test in about 2 to 3 months.
Take care
Good luck
