Question : I had a liver test as part of routine blood test and my GT result came back as 80 - I have reduced my social drinking by 3/4 to within the recommended amount for a woman but latest result is still 71 which is too high. Feeling very fed up.

I understand your concern.
I am very glad to know that you have cut down your drinking, but still if you are consuming more then permissible limits, you are at risk of progressive liver disease.

Parties usually provoke such drinking issues. You should avoid party. Indulge in some good sports, do aerobics, go to gym, play outdoor games.
At the time you feel the urge, just indulge yourself in some activity.
I always advise my patients that if they enjoy social drinking ुरी then they should stick to a glass of wine. Sip it slowly. Avoid binge drinking.
I am very hopeful that you will be able to control more.
