Question : Hi, my fiance is suffering from POLY CYSTIC RIGHT OVARY. She is at age of 23.
She went to XXXXXXX Apollo as per regular yearly check up by last month and find everything fine according to doctor and the attached Pelvic Scan Report as well. She started taking FEMINOL for last 7 months which will be continue till February'2017.

Now the new problem is like She had her period end by 28th of November'2016.But a small amount of bleeding has been starting from 29th of November till today though there is no pain and weakness at all.Meanwhile she has started TAXI MF(Thrice daily for 3 days) from 12th of December as per the suggestion of Dr from Apollo. She is now using PADs as it is like XXXXXXX period time is going on.This is the first time in her life.
She has done a Pelvic Scan Report in Local(Attached) as per Dr suggestions i.e. also contains fine impression.

Is it the matter to be scared?
What's steps/precautions we need to follow for the same?
Would the regular period time postpone as it is between 23rd to 28th of the month?
Can you please brief the cause of such mishaps?

She will be getting married by early February of 2017.
Eagerly waiting for your valuable feedback.

Brief Answer:
Femilon will regulate periods

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I have reviewed the reports.
Irregular and prolonged bleeding can be due to hormonal disturbances which are common in PCOS patients.
However, as the today's report is showing an endometrial thickness of 10 mm, the bleeding is likely to continue for 3-4 days more. She should start taking femilon from today onwards as it will reduce and gradually stop the bleeding.
Moreover, it will help to regulate the periods.
Yes, the regular periods at the expected dates will be postponed because of prolonged bleeding in this cycle.
The periods will start once she stops the pills.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

A. You said like "She should start taking femilon from today onwards as it will reduce and gradually stop the bleeding." whereas she is taking Femilon from more than last 7 months. Please comment on this.

B. You said also like "The periods will start once she stops the pills." There are 2 pills on the same is going on i.e. Femilon & TAXI MF. So which pill you want her to stop after end of the bleeding whereas Femilon will be continuing till February.

C. One Dr of XXXXXXX Apollo just suggested by phone to double the dosage like below.
1. Femilon - Two tabs Daily
2. TAXI MF - 6 Tabs Daily (Two each at a time, thrice daily)

Please share your valuable comments on the same.

Brief Answer:
Please furnish some information

Detailed Answer:
hi dear,
Please mention when did she stop femilon as it is to be taken for 21 days and then to be left for 5-7 days.
Whether she is currently on a new pack of femilon?
Femilon is taken for 21 days and then left for 7 days for withdrawal bleeding. When she will stop femilon, then the bleeding will occur within 5-7 days.

Thanks Mam for your valuable reply.

She has started to take Femilon last time on 23rd November'2016(Third day of her periods) and completed for this cycle on 12th December'2016.Today is 14th December.

Will she start Femilon again?
OR she should continue with TAXI MF only until this abnormal bleeding will stop properly and then she will take the Femilon on third day of her next period?

Brief Answer:
Tranaxaemic acid for next 3 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, she should take only tranexemic acid tablets for next 3 days.
She should then start femilon from day 5 after stopping the previous packet of femilon.
This will regulate the periods and stop the bleeding.
