Brief Answer: Yes,more chances of diabetes ,do HBA1C . Detailed Answer: Hello there, Nice to meet you again, A fasting blood sugar level less than 100 mg/dL is normal. If it's 126 mg/dL or higher on two separate tests, you have diabetes. Post prandial blood sugar of 140 to 200 mg/dl is considered normal, an value of more than 200mg/dl is considered abnormal. In glycated hemoglobin, the range of 4 to 5.9 [Hba1c] is considered normal in a previous healthy individual. As your random blood glucose level are near to 488, try to have diet control and regular gaping between meals which helps to improve your conditions. As your glucose level (488) is more than the normal, I also need you also to do an immediate fasting and post prandial test[2 hours after meal],glycated hemoglobin levels to know your level of serum glucose and to get treated accordingly. Hope helped you, Feel free to contact me again anytime for any clarifications or further assistance in future, Take care. Regards, Dr.surendiran.g
