I see that iam having smaller left testis than right. My right testis measures=4*2.5*3 cm and my left is small(half the size of right). I feel my testicular size are not correct. I sometimes (not often) get pain in my left testicles. Is there a problem?. Is my testis size normal. ? Do i have to worry about my left testis? i want to have good oval shaped testis?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry about your left testis. Semen analysis report good.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Sometimes there may be a variation between the size of the testes (plural of testis). There is nothing abnormal in it. I do not think that you need to worry about the size of your left testis, especially when your semen analysis result is good. I have gone through the report and feel it to be fine. In that case you need to visit a doctor to get your testis examined to assess the cause of the pain. I do not think that there are any other concerns.

The normal testis is not purely oval. It has corrugated ducts in its back. If you are feeling them and getting worried, let me assure that there is no reason to get worried. Unless there is a pathological condition involved, no surgical correction is required.

Hope that helps.

Hello Dr.
Thank you for the reply.
I have seen my friends testes. Among all of my friends compared i have the smallest. So that concerned me. Please have a look at my testes pics.
Do i have to visit urologist for testes examination and to know about the pain? I sometime experience pain in my left(smaller) testis. Today iam having light discomfort(pain) in my left testis. What do you suggest?

Brief Answer:
Visit an urologist without delay and get the cause of pain assessed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

I had already gone through the attached images before submitting my earlier answer. I do not think that you need to compare your testis size with others. You already have a satisfactory semen analysis report along. I do not think that you need to be bothered any further about this.

You should visit an urologist without delay and get the cause of the pain assessed. It could be serious.

Hope that helps.
