Question : Hi Doctor
I had SEMEN ANALYSIS and reports as below
Color: GREYIASH WHITE
Volume: 1 Ml
Odour : SEMINEL
Reaction : ALKALINE
Viscosity : Normal
Liquification time : 30 mins
Total Sperm count : 98 mil/ml
Active motile: 45%
Sluggish motile : 10%
Non Motile : 45%
Mophology : Normal forms : 50%, Abnormal forms : 50%
Puscells : 06-08/HPF
Impression: NORMOSPERMIA WITH SECONDARY INFECTION
Could you please help me on this, what would be my next step

Hi,

Semen culture and sensitivity test is required to identify the organism causing infection (pus cells) in the semen. It will also identify the antibiotics the organism is sensitive to.

Motility and other parameters can be improved by following methods :

1) Losing weight if you are overweight.

2) Stop smoking and alcohol if you have habits.

3) Wear loose pants and undergarments.
