What Does This Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Question : My husband produced a semen sample which was not much and we have the results and they have 100% head defects sperm concentration 9 million total sperm count 18 million sperm motility 56% total number of motile sperm was 10.08 rate of progression was a 3 volume 2.0 ml semen color clear visciousity none liquidfication complete round cells 0 million/ml delayed motility was blank My question is is this good or bad and for the fact there wasnt much of a sample do you think he should redo the test.

Semen volume is 2 ml which is adequate.But the semen concentration is low.
Ideally there should be an abstinence of 3 to 5 days and semen should be collected without spillage.
Morphology is 100 % abnormal. According to WHO GUIDELINES minimum 4%normal Sperm is required for fertilisation.
Analysis varies from lab to lab and time to time.
I suggest your husband to have an andrology check up to rule out any correctable causes.
Semen analysis may be repeated from a reputed
lab.

Hi,

Don't get worried with 1 or 2 reports. Let him consult an XXXXXXX After medications he will improve. Give at least 3 to 6 months treatment .

His semen will have good sperm for IUI and ICSI. I don't think surgical retrieval will be necessary.
