Question: Hi. I am in great stress as I am trying for 4 years to conceive. I have a son of 10 years. My lmp was 21 Nov...I did pg strip test this month on 21st and it showed positive but for 3 days I have noticed slight spotting with no pain at all. My gp sent me today for a scan...nothing was identified there & they said it is PUL. SO they did blood test...s.hcg is only 77. They will do another test on next Saturday. I m very worried. What it might be?

Brief Answer:
Pregnancy can be there.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Your HCG levels are raised. A pregnancy may be there. In early pregnancy sometimes it may happen that proper sac or fetal poles are not seen. The spotting that you had can be the implantation bleeding.
It is best to wait and get a repeat blood test and ultrasound scan done for confirmation.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Brief Answer:
Chances of viable pregnancy are low.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The rise in HCG is slow. The chances of a viable pregnancy are low. It is best to wait for another week and get a repeat ultrasound scan done to see any growth.
Hope my answer is helpful.
