Recently my BP reading was 142/100 and lipids profile LDL 121 , Triglycereides 171 Hdl 42Total Cholestrol 198.I was advised to take Amlodipine 2.5mg OD dose for next 15 days to monitor the BP. Will it affect fertility. Serum creatinine reading 1. Also took dopplar in left arm since there was a problem in hearing sound while checking BP. Doppler results were very Normal. In my report Pus cell 5-7 are being seen in semen test &also seen in urine test. What it means sir. I am a para medical man working as Area manager and handled all speciality medicines for the past 20 years. I got married three years back only .also advise what is the ideal day for intercourse for pregnancy.I sincerely Thank for your immediate and Positive response. One more doubt which I forgot to mention ,the colour of the semen was showing yellowish white instead of grey white. I took some multivitamins a day before test was done.is it OK sir.

                                    Brief Answer:
Fertilization period explained
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Amlodipine wont interfere with sperms. Continue the same.
Pus cells indicate infection. But these are not many to need treatment. Hence dont worry about pus cells.
14 days before next expected period is ovulation which is best fertile time. If your wife's period is expected on 30 May, ovulation will be around 16th May. Hence 13th to 19th May is the best time to try for pregnancy.
I hope your doubt is cleared.

Dr. Mahesh Koregol
