You have to increase the thyroid dose, diabetic needs treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your questions and understand your concerns.
1. Thyroid
Hope you are regular with your thyroid medications.
While on treatment your TSH has to be below 3 miu/ml. Yours is 7.94. So you have to increase the dose of thyroid medicine to 125 mcg. You can retest TSH after 2 months.
2. Sugar
If your fasting sugars (FBS) are more than 126 mg/dl or after food ( PPBS) is more than 200 mg/dl you are "Diabetic". If you are not following a diet and exercise, you can modify your lifestyle- regular aerobic exercise ( brisk walking or jogging) for 20-30 minutes a day, cut down high calorie diet.
You can recheck your FBS, PPBS and HbA1c ( a test for average blood sugar) after 2 months and decide if you have to be started on medicines for diabetes.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further questions, I will be pleased to help you.
Regards
Dr Ajish TP
