Brief Answer:
Current medications are fine

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your mother is having under functioning thyroid (hypothyroidism). Her thyroid is producing less thyroid hormones. She needs to be on thyroid hormone (thyronorm) replacement. Her TSH now is high. Her doctor has appropriately increased the thyronorm dose.

Hypothyroidism is usually a permanent disease. It can be controlled by thyronorm. But in 90% of cases, she has to be on life long medications.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have ant further questions I will be happy to help you.
