Need more information.
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
In postmenopausal women 5mm is cut off for endometrium thickness.
As you are borderline, so your doctor wants further investigation.
At your age polyp, endometrial carcinoma and endometrial hyperplasia are common causes for increased endometrial thickness.
Are you having vaginal spotting or bleeding or any other symptoms?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards

Hello ma'am,
If you are not having any other symptoms than there is no need to worry about it.
But follow up is needed as your thickness is 5mm( just cut off at your age).
Hope it is useful.
